Tele-Navigator secures top talent + Closing date fast approaches!
Three of Australia’s best television practitioners - Amanda Higgs, Sue Masters and Tim Pye - have been confirmed as the consultants for Tele-Navigator Consultation Week. Taking place over the week of November 1-5, 2010, the consultation program is primarily for teams (writer, producer and director) with projects that have potential market interest. First Factual Films Festival (F4) call for submissions
The Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) and the 2011 BigPond Adelaide Film Festival (BAFF) have joined together to create the First Factual Films Festival (F4) and are now calling for submissions from emerging documentary filmmaking talent. Film entries can be of any documentary genre, style and length, made for any screen-based platform. Submissions are open until Friday October 29, 2010. Read More

The inaugural Antenna is Australia's first international documentary film festival and will take place in Sydney between 6-9 October 2011. The festival is seeking feature-length documentaries (over 45-minutes) produced after January 1, 2009 from both emerging and established filmmakers. On the hunt for WA’s short film heritage
Perth’s Community Television channel WTV is looking for the lost short films made in the state over the past 30 years for a new programming strand called Sizzling Shorts WA. The program will feature short dramas and documentaries that were funded by the WA Film Council, The Australian Film Commission, ScreenWest and various FTI initiatives since 1980 and will also consider outstanding films from the tertiary sector.
