Gear up for the start of Rev
Presenting 100 films in 10 days, the Revelation Perth International Film Festival starts screening at the Astor Cinema today. In addition to showcasing individual works from around the world, a selection of Western Australian short films will be screening during "Get Your Shorts On!". Rev runs from July 2-12, 2009 - don't miss out, purchase your tickets now!
Revelation strives to provide a rare and accessible platform for screen artists to showcase their work in a tightly curated program of films. Rev features a Super 8 film competition (Revel-8), an international animation showcase, live music, special events and visual arts exhibitions.
Rev will also host a range of industry panels, seminars and masterclasses with local, national and international writers, directors, broadcasters, distributors, producers and many more industry participants.
The annual short film event Get Your Shorts On! will showcase the inspired work of WA filmmakers on Thursday July 9, 2009. Shorts screening are Layoordoo, My Uncle Bluey, The Daily Grind, The Deep End, The Nappy Tree, Tinglewood and Victims.
