“Spirit Stones” premieres on ABC

Western Australian documentary Spirit Stones will premiere on Thursday July 9, 2009 at 9:30pm on ABC1. Produced by Jennifer Gherardi's JAG Films and directed by Allan Collins, Spirit Stones presents a contemporary adaptation of a historical Indigenous story about the phenomenal events of the1940s and 1950s, when stones fell on Aboriginal (Noongar) camps.

Set in South-West WA, Spirit Stones tells of how these "showers" delivered stones in locations up to 250 kilometres apart, falling at various places for hours, sometimes days and even weeks and months.  Through intimate storytelling the witnesses reignite their memories and recreate these very strange and sometimes scary events.
