24 April 2012
Filming for Series 3 of the hugely popular kid's TV show, Prank Patrol, wrapped in Perth last week. The last nine episodes in the series were filmed around the Perth area and were directed by local writer/director Ben Young. Each episode features Prank Patrol host Scotty Tweedie, the ninjas and guest experts helping kids pull off the prank of a lifetime on an unsuspecting friend or family member. The show, which currently airs at 5:30pm each Friday on ABC3, will screen the Perth episodes later this year. The second series was nominated for a Logie Award last year for Most Outstanding Children's Series.
Executive Producer Amanda Peppard says, "The stars of the show are our Pranksters, it's quite empowering for kids to be given the opportunity to choose their "Prankee", come up with Prank ideas and learn amazing tricks of the trade from experts. For our "Prankees" it's a memorable experience that they've all enjoyed immensely".
The first series was the number one live action show for ABC3 during its debut season and the second series has doubled that success boasting a 23% audience share for 5-12 year olds across all Free to Air Channels.
Prank Patrol Series 3 is proudly supported by ScreenWest and Lotterywest.
