MIPCOM travel opportunity and first time attendee discount offer
ScreenWest is offering a limited number of Practitioner Development Travel Grants of $6,250 each to attend this year's MIPCOM market from October 5 to 9, 2009 in Cannes. Applicants seeking the travel funding should submit their application to ScreenWest by 5:00pm Monday July 6, 2009. This is to ensure delegates can register before the early bird closing date (July 30). Pre-Vis projects announced
From 20 Western Australian submissions, six teams have been selected to develop their feature film projects during Pre-Vis - a five day consultation program with industry advisors Victoria Treole, Sue Murray, Vincent Sheehan and Duncan Thompson. WA screenwriters nominated at AWGIES
Western Australian screenwriters for "Bran Nue Dae" and "The Circuit 2" have been nominated at this year's AWGIE Awards. The AWGIE Awards, presented by the Australian Writers' Guild's (AWG), recognise excellence in screen, television, stage and radio writing. Directors’ rights – what’s next for the ADG?
Entertainment lawyer Greg Duffy visited Perth on June 19, 2009 to discuss directors' rights, remuneration and agreements. Greg is working closely with the Australian Directors Guild (ADG) head office in Sydney to draft a Director's Feature Film Services Agreement and a Feature Film Rate-card. Western Australian documentary "Spirit Stones" will premiere on Thursday July 9, 2009 at 9:30pm on ABC1.
