Dome Lab 2010 – Last call for applications
The emergence of ‘destination cinema’ and the proliferation of large-format screens in public spaces present a challenge - and opportunity - to filmmakers and artists working in more traditional screen formats. Most fulldome content to date has been educational and comprised of computer-generated animation, data visualisation, or a combination of both. Now there is a shifting focus to the entertainment potential of live-action story-telling for large-formats such as fulldome. Dome Lab is a world-leading intensive workshop investigating this potential and the specific challenges involved in creating compelling live-action narrative content for large format and frameless screens. A Big Screen-ing for Broome, Kununurra and Kalgoorlie
The National Film and Sound Archive is touring new and archival Australian films to Broome, Kununurra and Kalgoorlie in September through the Big Screen travelling film festival. WA feature 'Blame' and short films 'My Nan & The Yandi' and 'Mabuji' are screening in the WA leg of the Big Screen tour. Blame producer Ryan Hodgson will speak at the screening of his film on September 3 in Broome. Read More

ScreenWest have 5 doubles passes to an exclusive Q&A event and advance screening of The Tree with producer Sue Taylor. Tele-Navigator secures top talent + Closing date fast approaches!
Three of Australia’s best television practitioners - Amanda Higgs, Sue Masters and Tim Pye - have been confirmed as the consultants for Tele-Navigator Consultation Week. Taking place over the week of November 1-5, 2010, the consultation program is primarily for teams (writer, producer and director) with projects that have potential market interest. First Factual Films Festival (F4) call for submissions
The Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) and the 2011 BigPond Adelaide Film Festival (BAFF) have joined together to create the First Factual Films Festival (F4) and are now calling for submissions from emerging documentary filmmaking talent. The inaugural Antenna is Australia's first international documentary film festival and will take place in Sydney between 6-9 October 2011.
